Compliance

Documentation & verification

As a registered number plate supplier we must confirm who you are and that you're entitled to the registration before we make road-legal plates.

Proof of identity

Typically a UK photocard driving licence or a passport. The name must match the name on your entitlement document.

Proof of entitlement

Usually your V5C registration certificate, V5C/2 green new keeper slip, a certificate of entitlement (V750 or V778), or a current lease or hire agreement.

How verification works

After payment we email a secure upload link. Automated pre-checks run first, then a member of our team completes a manual review. Only once an order is approved does it move to production.

If a document can't be read or doesn't match, we'll ask you to resubmit — your order is held, not cancelled.

Record keeping

We maintain a statutory register recording the registration mark supplied, the documents seen, who verified them and when. Records are kept securely for the required retention period.
